And Sustainable Food Security.
International grain trade is dynamic and represents about 10% of global trade in food products. The world grain production in the 2021/2022 season is at 2,287 mln t.
According to the International Grains Council (IGC), grain trade is expected to reach a new all-time high of 375m t (+3% y/y) and the consumption continues to grow.
Wheat, corn, soybeans, rice, barley and oats are the major varieties in World trade. They’ve been grown and traded in Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
Pulses
Pulses Are An Essential Source Of Protein
And Minerals For Much Of The Global Population.
To meet the growing demand and raise their per capita availability, countries made efforts to increase production and explore trade opportunities to augment domestic supply. High percent of the pulses produced in the world is to meet the domestic demand of the countries. The remaining portion (around 16 percent) is included in the world trade. Over 10 million tons of quantity are mostly exported from North America, Oceania and Asian continents. Most traded pulses are dry peas, dry beans, lentils and followed by chickpeas.
Nuts/Snacks
Nuts Are The World’s Most Popular Snacks And Come In Many Varieties,
Such As Peanuts, Pecans, Pistachios, Almonds, And Hazelnuts. Many nuts are defined as seeds, while others are botanically defined as fruits. They’ve been consumed as healthy snacks and can be fine source of protein, fat, fiber, etc.
Over 4.5 million metric tons of tree nuts are produced worldwide. Almonds and walnuts were the largest crops, accounting for 31% and 19% of the global share, respectively, followed by pistachios (19%), cashews (16%), and hazelnuts (10%). Pecans, macadamia, pine nuts, and Brazil nuts accounted for the remaining 5%.

World Compound Feed Production Is Estimated
At Over One Billion Tonnes Annually. Global commercial feed manufacturing generates an estimated annual turnover of over US $400 billion.
Animal feed market is expected to grow with a growth rate of 3.4% in the forecast period of 2020 to 2027. Increasing demand for animal-based products among humans will accelerate the market demand. Focusing more on animal health will also drive market growth. The growing momentum of proponents of natural growth is also expected to be active in the market. Increase in cattle farming is likely to result in increased animal feed demand.

In most years, about one-quarter of world production of oilseeds enters international commerce, with three-quarters being consumed or crushed within the producing country. The Oilseeds sector has been one of the most dynamic components of world agriculture in the past three decades growing at 4.1% per annum surpassing the growth of agriculture and live stock products. Grains are identified as cereals suitable as food for human beings. Oilseeds are those grains that are also valuable for the oil content they produce.
